Today I turn 23 and have the day off of work...Hurray! Chris gave me a collection of classics for subway reading...with my commute, I will probably go through this in a few weeks! We have already taken a sweaty stroll to the Botanic Gardens and plan to go to Moto for mac-n-cheese and date cake later.

3 Covert St

So I am going to try to post more pictures from my daily life in my new home town. Here are pics taken from inside my apartment I share with nik and chip. The first image is a close up of an art piece from chip's gallery (it is currently under debate about what is going to happen to it when we move out). Other shots are from our general hang out areas and also where I keep my computer, useful not only for blogging, but also for watching Weeds and B rate movies on netflix!

This weekend I started my job as a barista at The Simple Kitchen. It is an all organic cafe that bottles their own soda and makes pre-prepared food from scratch in the attached kitchen. It is in a great area right next to the new High Line park in the meat packing district. (so far so good!)
